The choir was set up by Matthew Thomason, back in 2012. He is a professional composer and pianist living in Cornwall but he still keeps his hand in with Alsager Community Choir.

Matthew's parents, Sue and Alan are both members of the choir and oversee the day to day running.

Members of Alsager Community Choir are in good hands with their musical director, Dan Hollingshurst. A distinguished musician, Dan, from Barlaston runs numerous other choirs including Endon Community Choir and two Stafford choirs.
